Ocala features many an amazing golf community. Each offers a lifestyle that is difficult to replicate in less temperate climates. So when I had the opportunity, I actually schedule my University classes early in the morning and late in the afternoon so I could fit in eighteen holes in between.

A Jack Nicklaus Story

When I graduated, I was hired by the CPA firm of Coopers & Lybrand. My first manager was Suzie Peterson, and the first account I was assigned to was Jack Nicklaus Enterprises. Therefore, I was in heaven. I still remember watching Jack playing the Inverrary Classic. Starting the final nine, Jack was seven strokes behind the great Tom Weiskopf. He then proceeded to hole three fairway irons and beat Tom in regulation. What a thrill it was to watch. Incredible, but no more so than the lifestyle options offered by each golf community found in Marion County. Well, maybe a little more so. LOL.
