Let’s Celebrate The Greatest Country On Earth, Ocala!
Ocala is a great place to call home. The 4th of July is a time to celebrate our past and ponder on what our future holds. Our country has been a shining light for the rest of the world for over two hundred years. We have been lead by great statesmen like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Dwight D Eisenhower and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. However, on more than a few occasions we have also been lead astray by less enlightened leaders. That is not surprising since it is the very essence of what it means to be human.
Ever since the first humans walked the earth, our species has sought to explain our existence. Where explanations were readily understandable, we found solace. However, more often than not, definitive explanations were not at hand, so we developed theories and superstitions. We have also searched for explanations in religion and science. To be sure, even though our existence has spanned many thousands of years, we are just beginning to understand the vast universe we inhabit.
What Makes America Great & Ocala A Great Place To Call Home
Today we celebrate the birth of an imperfect country, yet the greatest country on earth. Our country is truly the land of opportunity. It is a land where everyone can hold the views they choose and are free to share them with others without fear of retribution or repercussions. It is a country were everyone is free to chase a dream. But there is so much more to our nation than freedom of choice. Our country is full of big hearted people ready to help those less fortunate.
However, today we live in very unusual times. They are times when danger and opportunity march hand in hand into our future. Ocala is a great place to call home. However, it is at the crossroads of an amazing adventure, one which will take us to a fork in the road. The city is on the verge of an economic explosion that promises amazing opportunities for everyone. However, we do not live in a vacuum.
United We Stand, Divided We Fall
We are not immune to the forces of environmental and political upheaval. Of course, as individuals, we cannot confront global instability and national issues ourselves. But each of us can choose to contribute to solutions. Each of us can do our part, no matter how small, to confront these problems. Our nation has lived through difficult times before and come out of them changed, but still as the greatest nation in the world. Undoubtedly, we will unite to do so again this time.
So I fall back of Napoleon Hill’s mantra, because I believe that with God’s help it will continue to carry an essence of truth: “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, man can achieve“. We live in unusual times, but we will persevere. Tomorrow is a beginning to a new chapter in the existence of the greatest country in the world. It is clearly a time to celebrate!
